On June 6, 1962, Bob Schreiner’s two-run single in the eighth inning lifted the Hays Larks to a 3-1 win over the Victoria Eagles in Inter-County League action at Larks Park. Vic Lambrecht was the starter and winner for Hays, while Victoria starter Tony “Red” Pfeifer took the loss.
